These are some photos of the opening party for the exhibition Tolkien Etchings, the off-line counterpart to this web site, featuring original, limited edition etchings inspired by the writing of J.R.R.Tolkien, author of The Lord of the Rings, and The Silmarillion.

This first photo is of Tom Nuralak, friend, and excellent printmaker, from whom I have learned a lot about etching. Tom is the printmaking instructor at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, where I print my etchings.

Tom again and his wife Carrol, who is also an artist. They bought my etching, “Balin’s Tomb”.
For my Exhibition at the Spinning Plate Gallery, also titled Tolkien Etching, there will be a closing reception on Friday October the 5th, from 5:30 until 10:00 PM. The gallery is located at 5720 Friendship Ave, Pittsburgh, Pa 15206. It is free and open to the Public. There will be wine, beer and food served. Everyone Welcome!

This page will remain open ended for now. Eventually it will include such things as: the work of other artists in fields related to mine; contests for free stuff; perhaps surveys, and so forth.
